For this residential project, I got inspired by the Scandinavian design. 

The most important quality of this design is the spaciousness. That is why all night functions are contained in a dominant volume at the entrance of the loft. The volume ensures privacy, but respects the spaciousness of the loft by not totally closing off the rooms. This quality ensures that the loft remains one large open space. 

 

It is a very light colored design in which the sunlight, that illuminates the entire loft, plays an important role. The parquet floor, used in the entire loft, creates a unity in the residence and is also extended outwards to accentuate the inside-outside relationship.

 

The ground level of the volume is accommodated with a storage space, laundry area, bathroom and two children bedrooms. These bedrooms are equipped with a mezzanine, used to save a lot of space for a playing area. You can find a large suite consisting of a bedroom, private bathroom and walk in closet on the first level of the large volume. The rest of the loft forms a spacious open plan living area.
